Last year I started with introducing you to a theme for the year instead of new year’s resolutions. The purpose of a year’s theme is to help you to focus on the things that are important to you. Now it is time to reflect on that year’s theme. Ask yourself the following things:
- Was it helpful to you to have a year theme?
- What did you do to focus on your theme?
- What would you change to make it easier for you?
- What can you do this year to improve your focus?
If you were struggling with a theme, I would like to share a tip with you to make it easier. First you choose a theme for the year. For example: health, flow, playfulness, mindfulness or out of the box. Write your year theme somewhere down so you don’t forget it. Divide the year in twelve months and give every month another sub theme. So you can focus that specific month more on that part of the theme. In this way you make the theme more concrete and it will become easier to focus on it.
